You know what would be great? If we can get some sales numbers updated on the site. If we weren't 2 weeks behind in data maybe we can compare Thuway's US estimate with the site..

Turn 10 is a 300 employee company... not 200... GT5/GT6 content was created to be used in games after PS4 already... the assets are over 1080p quality.

Having played GT5 and GT6 are yu saying ALL tose cars with low res textures and low polycounts will be acceptable on PS4? They were an eyesore on PS3. They look like 1080p PS2 cars. Thers no way those models do not need to be rebuilt. Tracks to. They need to lazer scan the tracks to make sure they are accurate completely. Well all the real world tracks.

 

If it releases in 2015 it will be with all the low poly and res cars from GT6. Plus the actual PS3 modeled cars then maybe some new 1 mill poly cars maybe 100?


Your assuming the models in game were the highest level of detail ones that they built, they could of been built for PS4 and cutdown to run on PS3, there may be alot of higher poly higher texture vehicles already created that just were not in the GT6.  

For example photo mode uses higher quality assets than you see when racing, there could be ones even higher than that.  

Its easy to go all out and cut down to fit your platform, that it is to add polys to your highest level assets. 

But who the fuck knows, only PD and there not telling, certainly not while there riding the wave of there latest release, that would be sales suicide to say what will be out next year. 


No Im referring to the ones that arent even PS3 level. The ones that are PS2 level.

Here is some PS2 or GT6 standard cars in GT6. Notice the Porches arch? Polygon count needs an entire rebuild. Theres hundreds of cars like this in GT6. If they had made them to PS3 quality they would have had them in GT6 as the Premium PS3 built cars. So what I mean is if GT7 is coming in 2015, theres no way we are gonna see either the same car and track count or we are gonna see 3 levels of car detail.

Internally developed JRPG. Well, that'd get me on board for a PS4.

Won't be Wild ARMs 6 like I hope and dream for, though :(

Wait. Hold up. We arent trashing GT6. We are saying either

1. GT7 will Release in 2015 with like 300 cars and 12 tracks or

2. GT7 will release in 2015 with PS2,PS3 and PS4 Cars. and unchanged non lazered tracks. In other words. Standard cars ( PS2 ) Premium Cars ( PS3 ) and ultra Premium Cars ( PS4 ).

Or the game will be rebuilt and release in 2017-2019.

We are being realistic.

More important, does fans think PS2 models on PS4 is acceptable?

They never said Titanfall is coming to PS4 or anything else... in fact it just pointed the game is exclusive to Xbone, 360 and PC.

The tracks and cars in GT5/GT6 are heavly downgraded to fit the PS3 hardware limitation... all Premium assets and tracks created exclusive to GT5/GT6 are ready for PS4 already because they are created in way better definition than PS3 shows.

PD already confirmed most GT5/GT6 assets are limited by PS3 and they are next-gen ready already... they are created in 4k res or bigger.

They already have ~500 Premium cars ready for next-gen and over half of the tracks too... only 700-800 cars have PS2 assets and few tracks.

Im not even talking about the PS3 cars. Im talking about the PS2 cars mainly. GT7 will have like 600 cars with PS2 assets or take 6-8 years to make those 6-700 cars into PS4 assets.

Will GT7 get hammered for a drop in content?

Or will it Not come out in 2015?

By 2016 FM6 should be ready with what 6-700 1 mill polygon cars? + 30 - 40 tracks lazer scanned and all created new? New lighting system and better physics + possible night racing and rallying?

I think its actually a really careful time needed for Polyphony in what they decide to do. I think they should drop the cars to 600. Recreate ALL the tracks wih lazer scanning like Turn 10 did. Cause I think FM6 is gonna be 3 years away. Due to adding Dynamic Night and day.
