Forums - Gaming - Speaker help.

So, I was thinking about steping up my entertainment setup by including speakers. I was thinking about adding a sound bar and sub but its kind of expensive and dont know if i cant justify the price. I can get the sony/vizio soundbar thats originally 300 dollars for ~25% off today. Does anyone use one of these for gaming and would you recommend it? Or is it only good for movies?

This is a steal for 200 from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-High-Power-Speaker-CA-SP211NA/dp/B004H0MQYW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387753427&sr=8-1&keywords=Corsair+speakers
Bought them last year for around 300, these things bump. Have had nothing but a great experience with them.

Soundbars are a step up from tv speakers.... but that's it. Don't come close to decent speakers. I've had two of them and still have one in the lounge for regular tv use.

Save up, get an av receiver and some decent speakers, you won't regret it. My gaming audio is immense

paste is funky on the phone so i will link it in next post.

Right now its sound bar or nothing. I see the Sony one is on sale for 70 dollars off and i can get another 25% off that.

It's better to save up, good standalone speakers will last you a long time. I'm still using my B&W tower speakers from 1996, they still sound awesome for gaming, music and movies. I bought a REL subwoofer second hand, those things are pretty indestructible and the size of a small table.

If you want something quick, I guess that $99 one is still a step up from tv speakers, albeit a small one.

Save some money and buy some Bookshelf Speakers a Subwoofer, and a nice Receiver. Makes all the difference!
