Isn't that the vast majority of the "AAA" games today?

So much bullshit in this thread. First off the game is gorgeous. It runs at 900p not 720p, has no screen tearing or frame rate issues, and is the best looking console game I've ever seen. The game is not a movie. Not even close. There is maybe only a 10-15 minutes of cutscenes max. Lastly, the game is incredibly fun especially if you play on the hardest difficulty. Only downside is that the game is a bit short and slightly repetitive but all in all still a fun game.

Ryse doesn't run at 720P.

However If you are truly worried about graphics, resolution and framerates, buy a PC, the PS4 isn't going to have all it's games at 1080P and 60fps either.

I didn't mention the ps4.. I said the game doesn't look as good as you'd expect from something 13 times more powerful than the xbox 360

If you don't care, then why complain? You know there is more to a games image quality besides the resolution and framerate right?
Give it a few years and then see what the image quality is like, developers are still testing the waters.
Heck I don't recall Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 launch games looking as good as Uncharted or Halo 4 which were released years after the initial systems launch.

Most likely. I guess that's why I've slowly withdrawn myself from video games. I did indeed play the game. If anyone doubts me that is their own fault. Nothing about the game screamed "different". It was just another bland game that besides alright visuals didn't do anything else different. To be fair the story and cut scenes were the best part. It should be embarrassing to Sony and Naughty Dog that their fanbase cannot accept the fact everyone has their own opinion. I didn't like the game personally. Does it bother me someone else does? Not really. I'm sure to them it was a great game and worth every bit of time spent enjoying it. I wouldn't have it any other way. I can always go play a game I enjoy rather than bash them for disliking or liking something.

Originally touted as a solid 30fps experience, Ryse misses the mark more often than we'd like with frame-rates often fluctuating between 26-28fps.

Best looking game on NextGen right now is Killzone SF - You can't be best looking at anything if you run at low Res - NATIVE 1080p is the way to go especially as an Exclusive on a much more powerful hardware.
Ryse is maybe the best looking 900p Game on consoles but there probably the PS4 Version of Battlefield 4 is more impressive especially as a Multiplat.

Are people really saying the animations are bad? If there's one impressive on this game it's the animations especially the facial ones... maybe that's how you react when you're bitter I don't know but this game's animations are impressive and clearly set the bar. The game is not perfect it has many flaws but animation isn't one of them neither is graphics. LOL at those saying DR3 looks better than this must be sad wearing your shoes... poor you!

I don't know why anyone thought this game was going to be anything but mediocre.
