You tell me you didn't read which person liked the game in this thread... yeah they can very well be biased... you mean in a thread titled "Ryse wow moments" it's incredible how most comments come from people that haven't played the game and those people keep bashing it for lol... yeah!
I don't care about Knack or Killzone or whatever game you wanna bring, I don't play those games as I don't have a PS4. You won't see me in threads about those games just to downplay them... gosh I don't own a Sony console except for a PS2 why would I go in Sony threads to piss people off with uninformed comments? You told me I didn't know you... why don't you tell a little more about yourself and enlighten me on why you come in this section?

No different than people defending the game when they haven't even played it. ¬_¬

That's true... but do we want to anticipate games or do we want to downplay games... is it wrong to let people praise a game they like or anticipate even if you don't like it?

Both are wrong in my book, if you put it this way. Praising or downplaying a game you know not much about is nothing more than talking out of your ass.
That being said, with all the videos around, you can still form a relatively good idea of what the game is and how it plays like. Ryse looks good. And Selnor is praising it purely because it's a XBO exclusive. And when he praises one such game, it's always done by downplaying the competition's games.
But I digress. People are both free to have negative or positive opinions about a game. But their opinion has way more credibility if they have experienced the game first hand.
That being said, you don't need to have played the game to comment on the topic's subject. Watching videos of the game is more than enough to see the quality of its graphics and animations.
My take? Facial animations are exceptional. Combat animations are very stiff, and they don't flow too well between the different motions.
