Sony released a first-party (I believe) PS2 game in India in February 2013:

You have a bright future ahead of you, PS4 in India!
(Even though I hear the game is trite)

How so? This launch is in January, after the big holidays in Europe and US. It's a month and half prior to Japan launch. Perfect timing imo.

Alot of countries won't get PS4s until March becuase of low amount of consoles recevied. Over here in Sweden it probably almost sold as much XboxOnes as it sold PS4s and it have not even launched here officially.(imported consoles)

I think Sony plans to release the PS4 in all PS3 released countries until the end of fiscal year.
Great move.
Xbone is also struggling to supply ( or X1 has less demand ) even without a real worldwide release, so they are already giving everything they have, so i dont think sony should be worry, sony supplies much better considering the fact they kept a good amount for asia and maybe india and Japan in 2 month.
The difference is already big, but this move will make an other big difference in sales for the rest of the world. ( china, india,...), before Japan release that will definitively end the war
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
Great move Sony. Keep expanding your fanbase and expanding the market
It appears to me Sony are feeling confident that they can sustain this many markets for the foreseeable future. Perhaps the underlying factor we're overlooking (or could be) is that Sony can now produce much more than 1 million units a month.
The PS5 Exists.
