I missed the report Q4 and what it showed, and want to fix my sign. Anyone know the figure for the loss of the entertainment division?

It was a 150 million profit, which even caught me off guard. The PSP, PS2 hardware / software sales and PS3 software sales were really good profit wise, good enough to compensate for the steadily lowering PS3 hardware sale expenses.
Also PS3 sales have a positive effect on HDTV, audio equipment and Blu-Ray movies related revenue, which isn't counted for the gaming devision but helps Sony's current overall profits and especially Sony's long term outlook even more so.
Thanks.
The PDF with the report someone linked to above has $113.
"Operating income of yen 12.9 billion ($113 million) was reported, compared to an operating loss of yen 54.2 billion reported in the same quarter of the previous year".
Wow, Sony made money again? Was there any debate if the numbers were "fixed" in any way to look better than they were (like you can argue that MS did when they issued the RROD warranty loss to one of the quarters in mid ´07 with that huge $1 billion, if I remember correctly)?
@ Mike B, yeh, as more people get PS3s they are going to get HDTVs, and Sony's are very good. Also, the fact that PS3 basically won them the blu-ray format war will give them tons of royalties in the future
It's not certain, but it's likely that the numbers are kind of fixed, since there was a big inventory write down in the previous quarter to account for price cuts. We'll only know for sure when the next few reports are released, or some more information surfaces.

@Slimebeast - You mean Sony's GAME division. Sony does music publishing, movies and TV shows also. Entertainment is a broad subject.
