Damn straight brother. I think the number of plays through of bioware games goes DA:O~DA2>ME2>ME>ME3. Though the only reason ME>ME3 was because I played it once on PC before it released on PS3, and I was trying to grind out a platinum trophy for ME, but I've given up as being too much of a pain in the arse. I've platinumed both DA:O and DA2, but I've only platinumed ME2. I prefer fantasy RPG over Sci-fi anyway, but DA2 had great characters and great story and backstory. DA:I is about my most anticipated game. Perhaps only bested by a much hoped for TLOU sequel. I expect Thedas to be a world that keeps on giving as it becomes ever more richly realised. Though Bioware will eventually have to refresh as the games will be crushed under the weight of carry over decisions before too long. I think DA:I would benefit technically from being PS4bone and PC only. But I would only want this if it's easy to carry forward DA:O (+Awakening) and DA2 history, and in a way that does not require paid-for cloud save, i.e. you can transfer the save data via USB stick or something. Actually that reminds me, I need to play through DA2 again WITH Awakening history in preparation for DA:I. All my DA2 plays were before I got Awakening. Garrrr! I need to spend about 120 more hours playing through all my desired permutations of DA2. Oh well at least I get to bone Merrill again, as both fem and dude Hawke |
Yeah, the replayability factor of DA: O thanks to the origin stories was surprisingly big. Not that replayability with DA is crucial since they are very big games anyway (Origins took me 80 hours the first time, Awakening 40 hours and DA2 around 40 hours).
Gratz for having platinumed both Dragon Age games. I had that as a goal too, at least Origins but I'm not quite there yet.
I thought DA:I was going to be next gen only? I'm almost disappointed now. Obviously games hurt from having current gen versions that far into next gen (a full year). They will be held back no matter what devs try to tell you (memory restrictions which has an impact on game world size, graphics and stuff). Where did I get the idea that DA:I would be BonePS4PC only?

Please explain.
The dark ritual seems to be the cannonical outcome of DA:O as it is always an option regardless of what character you choose to play or what romance options you choose. It will be interesting to see whether Bioware standardise DA:I so Morrigan always has the archdemon baby, or if they allow for both options. Personally I think they really ought to have 2 long term visions of this world wrt Morrigan.
Has anyone done the dragon keep thing? is there the option to include it or exclude it from your DA:I setup?
