Also Sonic Racing is 1024x576, not 720p.

Considering Mario Kart 8 runs at 720p, at twice the framerate of Sonic Transformed, and still looks much better, I'm going to put that down to Sumo Digital just not doing a very good job, haha.


Well Sonic is also a multiplat. The devs just can't spend as much time optimizing the Wii U version compared to making an exclusive.

1080p without AA look just as bad as 720p without AA.

Ill admit "arent noticable" is false, barely noticable is a more accurate statement. "Just as bad" however is not the case. When scaled down to 720p like those DK screenshots they are barely visible.


720p on PC with no aliasing (MW 2010). PS3 version has AA

 

1080p on PC with no aliasing (MW 2010). Noticeable but not o the same extent. In gameplay videos/scaled down to 720p they would be barely noticable unlike DKs

 



I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime. 

The NX will be a 900p machine

VGchartz scaled down the 1080p no AA PC pic and yet its as good as AA applied, not the case with any of the DK TF screens posted here or anywhere else. Thus its safe to (reasonably) assume that its upscaled 1080p not native just by looking at the screenshots.
