Forums - Sales - So how bad is Xone looking to beat PS4 in Dec NPD/USA sales?

1,5 to 1 at least.

Umm, Walmart STILL has plenty of PS4s in stock. Have had them since Sunday. Based on your strange logic, the Xbone will be obliterated in sales by the PS4.

A lot of guys could be happy if this was true

In stock everywhere but arent selling fast. Ps4 sells out in minutes

Xbox One 100 in stock, took 10h to sellout. Then back at stock next day.

PS4 20 in stock, took 10min to sellout. No re-stock for the week.

Yeah, that yeild issues!

2.4mill sold vs 1.8 mill, cut the ps4 sales by 600k and you'll get plenty on shelves since it seems like that's the new way to indicate which console is winning :D

Sorry, I thought this thread as about NPD numbers. United States, you know.

I will throw out one thought on people claiming that the XB1 is in stock at many stores. I was thinking the same thing while Christmas shopping with my wife on Monday this week. I was at a Sam's Club (Walmart's warehouse chain) and they had a big XB1 display filled with XB1s. I went to look at them closer and found them all to be empty boxes. I asked n employee if they have any left and she said NO. Later that day I was at a Best Buy and they had a similar kind of display and they did NOT have any in stock. Also later that day while at Walmart, they DID have some in stock.

Point is, they may look to be in stock and not actually be in stock.

It is near the end of the end....

I think Xbox one will outsell PS4 this December in NA and the US. Even if the Xbox One is not selling out, it seems they have more stock available then PS4.
Once the PS4 is back in stock in NA, the battle will be interesting

Yes this is true, but most people make sure the boxes aren't empty. Two days after launch I saw two boxes at a Best Buy as part of a display. Super obvious they weren't the real deal.

Also online stores match up with the report XBONE has lots of supply. BestBuy.com has had five bundles and the stand alone system in stock for about six days. The Microsoft store website has had an ultimate bundle in stock for the past few days only selling out for a few hours at a time. SamsClub.com is the same way except with the stand alone system.

Moving on to the thread.

Meanwhile the PS4 sells out at minutes when stock comes in. Only place it's in stock right now is Walmart.com which has been there for four hours. EDT: sold out minutes after posting.

It's really a battle of the XBONE's demand vs the PS4's supply. As just a guess I'd say they'll be pretty even but XBONE'll come out on top.

Sorry, I thought your yield issues comment was pertaining to production. Production of units for 13 countries for MS. Don't introduce a concept to your agruement and then cherry pick behind the United States, you know. Perhaps only the yield issue snarky comment from you is relevant in the only area your console of choice is competitive in..

0.9 - 1

I think Ps4 will sell more. Like your thread says PS4's are selling out as they arrive, but XBO's aren't.

The thread says that MS is restocking while Sony isn't. Like on Amazon and other places.

Maybe I should make up a thread that says you do not know what you are talking about.  So it must be true according to your logic.

I don't think seeing a lot of consoles on shelves is a sign of doing well, but rather the demand is not as high as we were led to believe.

Well he said he only saw one in stock on shelves actually. And regarding seeing stock on shelves being good or bad, it depends on what the supply was. If Sony sends 20 PS4's to Walmart B and MS sends 45 to the same store and after 2 days the PS4's are gone and there are 10 Xbones left, not only is the demand higher for the console still in stock but it's sold more units. And even if demand isn't higher and PS4 sold all 20 while Xbone only sold 15 in that same time, if both are sold out in 2 weeks of that shipment and are resupplied, PS4 had higher demand yet still sold less consoles.

Not saying the Xbone vs PS4 sales/supply are going anything like that but jeebus, the weight people put into seeing a random PS4 or Xbone at some Walmart or Best Buy is just hilarious.
