Hey peoples,

I plan on buying a sony console this hoilday and will its not the PS4 :P.  Gamestop is having some pretty Good deals right now. PS vita $130 and a PS3 $130. Which one should i get???

Theres a few reason why im  not getting a ps4 but i wont go into detail... Anyways, well of course the  PS3 has far more games then the vita but The PS3 is getting old. Support wont always be there.. well as least as long as the Vita. The vita doesnt have a ton of games but tons of pretential.

Vita

• Portable +
• New console = New Games +
• Memory cards 4/8/16/32  Expensive -
• Two Analog Sticks  Kinda small -
• Ability to Play music while your playing games +
• Cross chat +
• sexy

PS3

• Amazing cheap games plus exclusives  +
• HomeConsole +
• Controller +
• low failur rate +
• Blue ray+
• PlayStation Network is totally free+
• PlayStation Network goes down once every few weeks for maintenance -
• Community on PSN often feels less active -
• Sexy +

Sill not sure yet... any suggestion? if so which games for that console.

If you've never owned a PS3 I'd get one for $130, there are literally dozens of games your missing out on, I can't even name one dozen games on Vita I want to play tbh.

umm this points also apply to the PS Vita. also, PSN does not have a "less active" community. games that have been out for years are still playable online, like uncharted 2 for example. just like any other game out there, a lasting community depends mostly on sales.

i would recommend the to buy the one that has the most games that interest you. Sony is probably done with BIG games on the PS3, but it will still get mega third party games next year like Destiny and Metal Gear (i think). PS vita on the other hand, well, we really dont know how sony is supporting that console. we are seeing tons of indie games for it, but no huge mega games for it anymore.

JRPG games and Sony AAA blockbusters on a big screen --> PS3
Indie Games and some Sony AA blockbusters on the go --> Vita

Ps3... It has amazing games such as Last of Us and GTA V to name a couple with more games coming out in 2014-2015
