Sonic Lost World for Wii U is on Amazon.com for $29.99 right now, and I was just wondering if it's worth getting at that price? I've played the demo and it seemed pretty good, but I've been hesitant because of the less-than-stellar reviews.

To those who HAVE the game, what are your impressions? Is that a good price for the game? Is the game worth getting at all? What do you like/dislike about the game? Guess I'm just wondering if I should pull the trigger while it's on sale, or if it really is genuinely just a dud like a lot of the reviews have said?

Thanks!

Get it.

My mate brought it up this weekend, I have WAY more fun than I was expecting with it! Having just bought a PS4 and 4 games this month along with a Zelda 3DS XL I can't afford it atm, but I definitely want to get it ASAP. I'm now torn between Sonic and Mario 3D World as my next game. I wish it was $30 in the UK (cheapest I've found so far is £25 which is about $40) as I'd probably just buy it and not eat for a few days haha.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Good game, very divisive reviews but i have found it to be rather pleasant. You can use the dash button and play at a fast pace or simply slow it down and focus on exploration and platforming like old school Sonic. Good graphics and presentation, and some well designed levels. The colour powers are a bit meh, but are used infrequently. Also a lot of replay value especially as each level has a time attack mode and online leaderboards. The game has recently been patched, so now extra lives can be gained by collecting 100 rings, and a few other niggles have been ironed out. 8/10 from me..hope this helps.

I downloaded the demo for it and played the first level. I didn't enjoy it. That being said, I have no clue if this is enjoyable if you like these sorts of games or if it isn't. All I know is I loved Adventures 2 on the gamecube and it felt a lot different.

The game's okay, not bad, not great. I personally give it a 6 of 10. If you enjoy Sonic and/or platformers then you should give it a try.

They just released a patch the other day that changed some of people's main complaints. Now 100 rings equals an extra life, yeah that actually wasn't in the base game, and now more of the wisp powers can be used with the analog stick. Now if only they could patch in support for the Wii U Pro Controller.

I find it to be a disappointment, but that price plus the big update that retooled alot of stupid game design choices, I would go for it.

I'd say yes. They updated the game recently that made a few changes that help lessen the frustration. I enjoyed it and I'd like to see a sequel with a bit more TLC.

damn the price dropped quick, yeah i say get it

After the price drop and the patch it might be worth it.

The patch made it much less frustating with 100 rings = 1 life and analog stick controls instead of gyro controls for some wisps.

I think it's a good game (8/10 for me), but maybe not what most Sonic fans expected. It's like a mixture of Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. and sometimes Donkey Kong Country, but with more speed and less polish.

Graphics and music are pretty good.

Level design between mediocre and excellent.

Controls are a little strange at the beginning, but they work very well after a while.
