Wal Mart's website for check in store availability has said PS4's were in stock for over half the locations around here since yesterday. (at least 8 or 10 stores showing green and 1 or 2 showing limited available). I live in a metro area in the west with about 1 million ppl.

Neither do I. I've seen plenty in stock at Targets, Walmarts, and Gamestops. Only place they didn't have it were sears. But I'm in NY so its a little different here I guess.

Man, Sears stores around here in North Texas have stopped selling game consoles for years and years. Fuck, I think I remember calling them looking for an X360 during launch and they'd already stopped selling consoles.

there website is never accurate. It might say that,but when you go to the store there's nothing there. It might be true in your area,but that's not the case in mine. lol

Both the local craigslist and news paper have numerous offerings of PS4s, but they don't seem to be moving.

I think some people are confusing the availability through one particular retailer as an indicator of the local availability here and not the real situation.

Both Xbox Ones and PS4s seem to be in plentiful supply. Enough to satisfy demand that is.

I don't think that precludes the possibility that Sony may be struggling to meet demand, or that the Xbox One isn't selling well. Both could be true, suggesting that the PS4 may be in low supply and that the Xbox One is selling strongly with Microsoft meeting demands.

That said, Xbox 360s and PS3s are abundant. Not to mention Wii Us and Wiis.

I think the rumor about them shipping a ton of them must be true.  If you go to the PS4 page on their site and just type in random U.S. cities they are now showing in stock for pretty much everywhere.  If you dudes are looking call your local WalMart....or check their site.

I think that we have been mislead about the stick of PS4s at Walmart. It says last stock update was 12/15 at 12am. I.e. When the sale started. Unsure if any stores have PS4s in stock!

If that's true,then why have I yet 2 see a single ps4/xbox one on any store shelf. I go to walmart and bestbuy and gamestop all the time and have not seen any at all. seen plently of ps3's/xbox360's,wii u's. each time I ask about them,they always say the same thing. sold out,sold out,sold out. I'm not seriously trying to get a ps4 until next year,but your post is'nt constant with what I've been seeing first hand,in the okc. I'm sure there's plently of them in some states,but that has'nt been the case at all in the okc.
