I would argue that price isn't a factor for launch consoles, especially when the hype is sky high like it has been for the Ps4/Xbone. BUT, look at how the Ps3 launched...

Therefore, yes. I am indeed impressed by the Xbone's launch. It proves that this won't be an short term battle for Sony, but rather a long term war. Microsoft has come to play.

I kind of agree with this, even though we saw record launches all over the world, I hardly think we're going to see records shattered in 2014.

Sure, but that's irrelevant. No one is saying "XBONE sold great for offering consumers a good value." Strictly speaking of price, $500 is worse than $400. When I read people saying this I imagine they're thinking along the lines of "XBONE costs $100 more than PS4 which is bad but it's still managing to keep up with its sales. OMG that's impressive." Do you interpret it differently?
