PS4 launch in my hometown. Stock obliterated.

Plenty of stock here. BestBuy, Walmart, Target, and probably many other have stocks. You can order them online from BestBuy; bundles and consoles themselves. I'm in the US; stock comes in and out all the time for both systems. Not that hard to find a PS4 or Xbox One, just takes a little bit of time.

I am sure stores are getting PS4 in my area, but so far I have not seen any sitting on shelves when ever I walked into a store. Today my local Target had 6 xbox ones locked up but no PS4. And my K-Mart had 2 xbox ones but no PS4's. Not sure whether Microsoft is manufacturing them quicker or not. Either way if you want an xbox one in my area for xmas it shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure of that, since im from southamerica, but there is very few people buying consoles near me in this days. Heck, even the last saturday i saw 10 ipads selling, 1 wii and 1 xbox 360 in like half hour, even though the console (ps4) was exhibit in the store (but it had the red light, so i can understand why)

Both XOne and PS4 are available in most stores.
I am not surprised, everyone wants a PS4 but retailers are certainly pushing their profit margin.

everywhere it's sold out here. They say the best chance on buying one without pre-ordered it before August is March or later.

Nope. At least today every store I visited had lots of ps4's at shelves.
