WW = Worldwide, meaning no single country matters because for all the consoles sold WORLDWIDE Sony sold more than Microsoft.

Well, at least soon well all reach a single format...

But will the DVD ever truly die? In all truthful-ness, VHS isn't completly dead yet, it's still used by a few people, will the dvd become like the VHS is now?

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

Really? Worldwide means across the world to me.

Wow, if you are a Sony fan (like me), you have shit your pants at least three times in the past hour.

OK I'm confused now.

What news has got you excited today other than this?

PS3 outsold the 360 in the USA for the first time according to NPD.

I'm fairly sure that not al of the movies on DVD will be re-released on Blu-ray, so it will become like VHS where people have their favorite movies and keep watching them. But since every Blu-ray player can play DVD's we won't be seeing an DVD/VHS combo type of players. So hardware wise DVD will die, and eventually so will it's software, but there will always be people with DVD's.

Not to mention 5 more semi-major studies worldwide went Blu-ray exclusive. And another hardware company started making Blu-ray players. Every since Warner switched Sony has been getting all kinds of good news.

Finally.

Now one must ask - how long will it take for Universal/Paramount?

Wow I wasn't aware that PS3 beat 360 according to NPD. Wow, PS3 FTW.
