Did not see the other thread people are talking about but I can say, by looking at all the PS4 fans posting "wow best thread ever", "you deserve a medal" or "oh this is just for fun" that the other thread must be favoring the Xbox One :)

I was a loyal Nintendo fan during the NES era, but i refuse to buy a SNES with Nintendo forcing all these extra buttons on us. Just make this fancy new controller optional. Or at least it should be possible to disable the extra buttons, or i don't feel comfortable if i press one by mistake.

I'm not sure why you make it such a point to say Nintendo sacrificed innovation when they did quite a bunch of innovations.
Just because Sega went over the top and added Sega Mega Drive functionality doesn't mean Nintendo sacrificed.
EDIT: Additionally, and I'm not calling you a liar, but it sounds like you didn't even play Super Nintendo as much as you say you did. Sounds like your friend got a Sega Genesis and you went over to play it. I guess I am calling you a liar. Oh no, but it's not because you didn't like the Super Nintendo, it's just the way you gloss over the details "we checked out the Demo Cartridge but there wasn't much there", "played for a while but got bored of squashing Goombas and getting to the castle in Mario". That sounds like someone who is trying to be vague.
EDIT2: No Donkey Kong Country? No mention of the awesome power and reset sliders instead of buttons, or the epic eject lever!? Yeah, no, take your viral somewhere else.

Lol I just got it too thanks to "aryu". I though you were serious too....
Genesis fo lyfe! And Earthworm Jim was better on Genesis, better button response time, smoother scrolling, faster gameplay, and it also has more and better quality sound effects.
Also, Genesis sounds cooler than SNES... hell Genesis just might be the coolest name a video game console ever had... so that and blast processing make it the best, no contest.
