I'm about to receive Xillia in the mail. I think I'll be getting into the Tales series.

Wait... Is this really getting a simultaneous release... Like Pokemon X and Y? Also, is it 2014, or 2015?

What makes you think that? There's two versions o.O?

A random user said it was :(

I got all excited for simulatenous release. So there isn't. What two versions?

Oh I thought you meant there will be two versions since you said "Like Pokemon X and Y" xD.

I said X and Y as a comparison tool since Pokemon has never gotten a simulatenous worldwide release before X and Y. I wonder if it's '14, or '15, but like you said, three Tales games for 2014 would be insane... But awesome!!!

Symponia Chronicles and Xillia 2 are slated for 2014 as well, if you like Xillia.

Guys, a small question: Is this what originally started with Tales of Phantasia on SNES?!

Yes.

I waited soooo long for the fan-translation - it was one if not the most effort-made game in 16-bit era! Also I got the feeling when playing Star Ocean on PSX that the games were quite similar...

Looking forward to them.  Also, waiting for a price drop for Graces.

Tales of Phantasia was re-released on the GBA about 10 years ago though.....and there's been over 10 games released afterwards lol - one on Xbox360 too.

Also the reason why Star Ocean seem similar is because the team who made each series originally were the same (or had similar members) back in the 1990s. Ironically they also have same music composer too!

Was it Tri-Ace? Can't remember it really... But thanks for the info! Btw, I played this version: http://dejap.eludevisibility.org/top.php

Dejap were so f***ing awesome, without them I wouldn't have had the chance to play and beat Seiken3!

I still need to beat Xillia. >.>

How far are you dude? I loved Xillia probably my second favorite Tales game, behind Vesperia.

Near the beginning. xD From what I've played so far, I'm liking Xillia. Can't wait for Xillia 2 though!

Nice. I like the new character art and the general art styles. They don't look like normal Tales characters and it's a good thing. Excited for whenever it releases.

Yeah according to the wiki page though

The group exclusively makes role-playing video games, and is known for giving their games action-packed battle systems and deep skill systems. This trademark style began when the founders of tri-Ace originally worked for Telenet Japan's Wolfteam, and had created Tales of Phantasia. This game, published by Namco, is a precursor to tri-Ace's own Star Ocean games in several ways; e.g., an action battle system where the player controls one character and AI controls others in the party and special battle skills that the player can assign to different buttons. Besides the Star Ocean series, they also released Valkyrie Profile in 1999. Their most recent release, Resonance of Fate, was taken to SEGA for publishing.

I played the SNES version (translated), GBA version and the PSX version (translated) of Tales of Phantasia! Great game!

Ah yes, dat Engrish! Man, those memories... "Furst Aeda!" It's a shame that TOP never got an official international release on SNES!

For those wondering what year, I think it is 2015. So after Persona 5 on PS3 lol.
