They'll give up soon enough. Afterall there's only around 200K of them that actually bought the game at a full $60 price before it went bargin bin.

Doubtful. People still cry over Monster Hunter.
Nintendo should keep Bayonetta and just consider it an investment in brand building. They will likely need to focus more on core gamers in the next 5 years as the Wii U/3DS have suffered large losses from the casual audience.
If you do nothing but make video games, there's no point in having such a monstrous cash reserve if you don't bother to spend any of it on games, even for the sake of broadening the library.
I'd instruct Platinum Games that they are not to release Bayonetta until it is a far superior game to the first one and is a legit GOTY candidate. There's no point in short changing the game now.

The decision to publish this was made a long time ago, when they had different ideas of the Wii U performance. Once it is all said and done it may not turn out to be the best desicion they made. Besides, the guy complaining about the begging may be looking back later on how many people wanted the game, when he finds out how many actually bought it.

I could see why they are pissed off, apparently baynetta 1 was not worth making for ps3/360, and that why they were not gonna make a sequel, untill nintendo said they would fund them for it, personally i think nintendo made a bad decision business wise, as the game will sell less then 200,000 WW.

People cry over monster hunter because it's obviously the bigger franchise that has been associated with the sony brand. LOL
No ones gonna bat an eye for such an irrelevant franchise like bayonetta. Those so called "core gamers" will stick to the PS4 and X1 because they have much better third party support compared to the WII U. Building a worthless franchise such as bayonetta is absolutely meaningless.
Why should nintendo have to fund irrelevant games like the wonderful 101 or pikmin 3 when they could fix all of this by just giving 2D mario a higher production value and other relevant games. You lack understanding of the so called "casual gamers" for the most part so no one is going to take you seriously when you don't look at the bottomline.

its like platinum doesn't want there games to sell, they make good games but they make the art and main character horrible, it's like they want to make wierd shiq that turns people off.

@Bold If there games were so good then why is it selling beyond horrible ? People would buy it if it was good but apparently the market disagrees and sees it as trash.
What turns people off is a horrible game and there are many reasons other than art or main character.

There are lots of good games games that don't sell great, people have different tatses, a main character and horrible art, can really hurt sales, especially when the type of game that platinum games makes don't sell much to begin with.

Honestly I'd tell Platinum to go full bore and make the game as weird as possible. Hell, stop pussy footing (no pun intended) around it and let there be full nudity in the game too. Sell it as something you can only get at GameStop or Best Buy.
Get some buzz building around the game, at least even if it flops you've opened some eyes.
Tearaway flopped, so did Puppeteer are those games trash too? Plenty of good games flop all the time.

Then platinum games shouldn't even be developing at the console space! Instead they should just go mobile because it's obvious that the quality of their games isn't up to the task of selling. As an investor I would not pour my money into platinum games at all because they haven't learned their lesson yet on how to make relevant games.

Yes lets just have the industry make military shooters and nothing but.
