People^

People have to be payed by Nintendo.

He was using it to describe the scale and scope of the game( which is more than bayo)

Which meant the game had costed MORE THAN BAYONETTA. Again instead of sidestepping what the tweet had meant when you get more people to the job you know that it costs more than bayonetta. It's obvious the game was 50% more expensive to make compared to bayonetta 1.

Money required for development doesnt scale in that manner

The money required for develo

As I said, personally I will own all three consoles this gen , but I cannot blame people for not wanting a Wii U and buying it solely for that game. Peer pressure bro....no bueno. This will be Nintendos first and last Bayonetta.  I am not particularly a fan of Bayonetta but rather a fan of hack n slash in general and I can openly admit that the only reason I will own it is because I actually had plans to have a Wii U ahead of time. It's not drawing me to the console.

If you won't buy the console for the game, obviously you weren't really that big a fan to begin with.

Besides which, it's not like Bayo 2 is the only game on the system.

Sorry but I am not a fan of bayonetta. The story is just broken but the gameplay is brilliantly insane. I am a fan of the genre in general. The only hack n slash game that has ever been  a console seller in a good long while (particularly last gen) was God of War. It pushed PS3 consoles  after E3 2009 and was bundled strongly with the PS3 when the PS3 started pulling extremely close in sales to the 360.

As for Bayonetta not being the only game on the console, those complaining must not see anything else. Everything depends on personal taste really.

But there are other action titles and other games on it. They must just want an FPS

Zombie U's sequel was pulled because it did not even sell close to profitability. 600k used to be profitable......at the leginning of last gen. Those who profitted off of the Wii were smart. They invested cheaply and came out winners in the end.

If it's true that ZombiU didn't profit, that speaks to gross mismanagement at Ubisoft, as nothing about the game is expensive.

As a Nintendo fan you should understand Ubisofts frustrations. They had faith in Nintendo when most third parties did not.

Its really nothing to write home about just yet so once again I wouldnt oversell it. No one needs to force me to buy it, as I said I will have it by association with having the Wii. Just waiting for more games to join in like X and others. Im going to have some niche fun on the Wii U.

For a console that's only been out a year it's not a bad lineup; Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, NSMBU, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate... people into Bayo might be into more acquired taste games like Wonderful 101 and ZombiU as well. Then X, Donkey Kong, Bayo 2, Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem, Kart, Smash, Yoshi, Zelda to come.

Obviously for some it won't fit the bill, like PS4 and Xbone's lineups don't interest me, but I think most gamers could find games beyond Bayo 2 well worth playing on the system.

People into Bayo are into God of War & DMC. The PS4 and Xbones lineup doesn't need to interest you. again, I will have all three so it doesn't really matter to me but once more, I can understand why the many would choose to overlook Bayonetta because they cant find value in Nintendo if they do. I have value for Nintendo this gen. No one is really wrong if you think about it hard enough when it comes to consumers. What sells is always based on opinion. Nintendo just made an unpopular decision that most think they are going to get bitten in the ass for later on. Most of the games I am conditioned to play on Nintendo are first party. When Rare was a Nintendo second party developer those were the true days of Nintendo dominance to me.

God of War always sucked to me.

This time I have to agree with Zero. Nintendo gamers (of Mario and others games) are really harcore. A game don't need to be Call of Duty or realistic to be "harcore".

What does it need then? And Call of duty is the last thing I would call hardcore.

it's the kind of thing that sells the most on ps/xbox systems, so I guess you agree that the audience on those consoles isn't THAT hardcore.

Yes, I and others totally think the majority of those 80m PS3/360 owners are hardcore ...

You're having something of a semantics meltdown here, as always occurs when someone starts talking about "hardcore" gamers.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Has Ubisoft ever specifically stated it was not profitable? I remember that just being guess work by an interviewere.

That said, Ubisoft handled the Rayman situation terribly, now its being ported to next gen with more content

I think Ubisoft wasted time and left a whole lot of money and sales on the table dealying the game 7 months just to put it on last gen.

Look the reality is Bayonetta is a niche product.

Niche products have always done well on Nintendo systems.

Just look at them horror games that seem to love their systems( and the PSX)

People buy the other systems for their "block busters" which all happen to be overhyped m-rated (cough PG13) bullshnozzle in my overtly humble opinion.

Sorry Gears of War.

I was being sarcastic, I don't think there is a large portion of 'hardcore' gamers anywhere.

Sorry Gears of War.

Iwata has had to apologize for poor Wii U sales, especially on the platinum games title like Wonderful 101 which they published themselves. Ubisoft's head spoke out about the poor sales of ZombiU. Activision has almost had it with the Wii U for the sales of COD. Trust me Ubisoft is an ally Nintendo cannot afford to lose.

F.Y.I.

Niche games sell great on any Japanese console. Its the last bit of culture you have for old school Japanese games.

I love Gears of War. No matter what you think people like spectacle. I dare you to tell the studios to drop Michael Bay.

So at this rate, even years after Bayo 2 releases, people will still be asking for a port. Yikes...
