Hey everyone,

This is one of the questions i've been wondering for long time. For me, a game should be experinced and limited to 15-20 hours instead of making us addicted for very long time and expecting to grind, which is not a really good thing because addition make us to lose lot of time which is more precious than grinding that game. What do you guys think? What you prefer?

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I prefer a little bit of both. A game shouldn't have to make you grind unless appropriate for a few sections but overall I would like to have games that offer content above 20 hours.

Both, I never buy a $60 game unless I know I'm spending at least 40 hours in it. Other games I'll just rent for the experience.

A game should be experienced. I think people sometimes confuse addicting and fun -not saying the two are mutually exclusive. But a game can be addicting and after 15 hours playing non-stop you realize you've wasted 15 hours of your life you'll never get back accomplishing nothing. A game you experience isn't just a time waster-- it's well <_< an experience.

I tent to prefer games that are for the experience than so much grinding, though there are different levels of grinding, there is the direct grinding to level up characters that I'm more ok with, and there is grinding for mats that can have very rare drops, that I don't care for as much.

Some games are very good at giving off that sense of satisfaction even as they have you grinding away. Wow in particular. I swear there was an article on this a few years back.

Yes, a experienced game never wastes our time but a addicted game does a lot. I expect developers to make game be experienced and challenging with skills instead of trail and error methods in some games like rayman origins which is really great and fun at the begining but loses its fun at the end for some levels and to collect lums/speed trophies. In my viewe a game should have a trophy/achievetment to indicate that its story part which can be experienced is done so people who like experience see their games as completed(because even though i've finished the  game still at trophies it shows just 30% and even after colllecting almost every possible trophy still its at 50%) instead of expecting use to collet every trophy to make it completed game.

Both, i think the addiction will go away if it isn't experienced enough.

This may sound shocking, but I tend to have a more fun experience when I'm addicted to a game. And as long as I'm having fun, it's not a waste of time.

Well it has to be fun to be addictive, then would come the experience the more that was played. I would say both. I still go back to WoW from time to time.. usually when a big patch or expansion is released. I havent played in a month or 2 now, prob will again sometime next year when the expansion is released.

There are games that you experience and you feel different kind of things but I prefer when games get me addicted.

You can experience a game and have no fun with it, kinda like Ico where the game isn't much fun but the experience is relaxing.

When a game gets you addicted it means it's a lot of fun! A recent example would be with A Link Between Worlds. I started it 2 days ago and I'm already at the end of the game almost at 100% completition. Took me 15 hours, played like 7 hours straight each day.
