It's a huge problem. Indies aren't doing timed exclusives, they're just trying to release the game as soon as possible. With smaller studios we do not have the manpower to work on three different versions simultaneously. Instead we have to finish one version, start and finish a port, and then start and finish the second port. It should be the dev's decision to hold all the versions back or release them when they're ready, not Microsoft's. Do you agree with Ubisoft pushing back the Wii U version of Rayman 6 months just to match releases?

I haven't signed up for ID@XBOX for unrelated reasons, but I'll probably be sending them an email.

what game are you making?

The last guardian.

That's a joke because it was originally planned to have been released by now, but instead it hasn't even been announced yet.

lol, well make sure you start a thread here when you're ready to announce.

Around the Network

Also if sony had this clause last gen we would of missed out on games like braid spelunky limbo and soon to be fez and minecraft so if your an xboxone fan i would speak up as alot of games this gen are going to come out on ps4 first and thus be ineligible for xboxone because of this clause and im sure alot a games will come out on xboxone first but sony will welcome them with open arms if they want to be on ps4

I can understand this me and my team are currently making a game for a construction company using unity. the game is for pc and now they may want a mobile version of it and if we had to release both simultaneously at the original date then we wouldn't have been abIe. it should be the developer choice good that their at least considering.
