why am i not surprised.
Oh and I didn't know, but reading through articles apparently the 360 is in shorter supply than normal. I actually didn't know that. As one person phrased it on another forum:
"Only the losers of holidays 2007 had any stock to sell in Jan 08"
But anyways I guess we'll need to wait for February to see if there really is any change in sales, or simply a shortage issue for 360, ect. Cause actually PS3 sales in Jan 07 was 244k, so its not that huge of a change over a year, both in times with no shortages for good comparison. So before people start crying bloody murder preempitvely, let's wait til next month to see if this little increase is a "fad or not".

Yeah when you look at those numbers it almost seems plausible, if only when looking at DS numbers. How could the DS go from nearly a million a week in Dec to 60k a week in Jan, unless there's major supply problems? And both Patchter and simExchange had much higher (100k and 200k, respectively). It seems really crazy. Numbers were actually all over the place this month.

Looking at last year's data, I'd say that the DS is probably way overtracked. PS3 is most likely undertracked.The rest are ok. I'd still say VGChartz is quiet accurate.
400-500$ costing PS3 sold on pair with 250$ costing Wii that was supply constrained. And even then it was beated WW by the Wii 2:1. VICTORY =))

By more 201k is VGC US + Canada. 269 is NPD US only without Canada.

man ,,I am so happy that PS3 is getting the attention it truley deserves(The real next gen,HD console IMO)But let's not get ahead of ourselves and act like that,,all of the consoles are good in their own ways and they are selling good.I don't think we'll have a clear winner this gen but that's a good news for gamers ,cause when the companies ahve to compete ,the gamers will get better games and better deals.
But this defenitely proves wrong to PS3 doubters. (remember last year comments from fanboys in regards to the death of PS3?)
Hmmm so 375,000 nunchucks sold but only 270k wiis? seems strange as people usually buy a wii with a second controller and wii play's number is smaller than the number of nunchucks sold, makes no sense, looks like NPD is undertacking sotware then
