Forums - Sony - Anybody Missing LittleBigPlanet on PS4?

Yeah I want me some LBP3, though MM has stated numerous times they would like to move on to newer and bolder projects. And after Tearaway being critically acclaimed making it their 3rd spectacular game with a metacritic of 87%+, I would hope Sony lets them work on whatever they wish.

Though I definitely hope someone is making LBP3 into 3D it can be called LBP3D.

should have been f2p and preinstalled on every ps4, really.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

I'm guessing 2016 since I think MM is making a new IP right now...unless that 3D stuff is for LBP3D

Accoridng to this sumo digita (sonic allstars racing transformed) is dooing it:

Though MM is probably consulting on it just like the vita one.

I'm sure MM has something in the works for a PS4 game; though I would like to see them bring the Tearaway world on the PS4(not a port)

Tearaway looks absolutely stunning on the vita, just imagine how good it would look on the PS4

Never played the second game but the first one was a really poor platformer. The thing I liked about the game was the creation tools but as a platformer the game feels bad.

If they make another one I hope they get the platforming element right, the series have potential.

I agree about MM.  they've proven themselves to me and should be allowed to do whatever they want.    thing is, i think tarsier studios did a fantastic job with lbpvita and i would feel good if the franchise was given over to them entirely.

so yes ethomaz, i do want a LBP game on ps4.  BUT,..  i think it needs to be a "once a generation" type game.  so here's my ideal senario.

Holiday 2014: release lbp 3.

Holiday 2015: first refresh (new whatever game mechanic with 20  new levels).   old owners can buy the new content via DLC.  new owners can buy the "ultimate edition".

Holiday 2016: second refresh (new whatever game mechanic with 20 new levels).   old owners can buy the new content via DLC.  new owners can buy the "super ultimate edition".

Holiday 2017: third refresh (new whatever game mechanic with 20 new levels).   old owners can buy the new content via DLC.  new owners can buy the "super ultimate fantastic edition".

so on and so forth.

sumo helped on LBPvita but it was tarsier that really "owned" the development.   i wouldn't doubt sumo (and XDEV and double eleven) were all in on it though just like lbp vita.

Me too.

Like the majority in this thread, I want to see LittleBigPlanet make the jump to 3D. It has to be done right, though. It would've been great if MM were the ones who took it from being a 2D platformer to a 3D one before moving onto something else.

Not really, was hyped for the first one and played it less than 5 hours when I finally had it in my hands, the second one did only have my attention for a couple of hours. I think project spark could still your hunger though looks to be the closest thing that you will get on consoles for some time.
