That's actually technically illegal to do lol, but they get away with it.

yea ive heard that, most clinics are garbage anyways,  They get paid by the patient so they wanna get you in and out as fast as they can so they can see the limit and go home lol  I just go to my family doctor, hes highly rated and doesnt accept new patients lol  Hell also prescribe me things no clinic EVER would. (like my MJ prescription)

Ya cause of the old fee-for-service system, they try to get as many patients in as they can to make as much money as possible.  I actually remember learning only around 1/4 of new doctors coming out of medical school prefer the fee-for-service model, I never really understood that cause if I'm a doctor I'd want the model where I could make the most money.  The other two models are salary, which needs no explanation and capitation, which is basically you get paid a certain amount for the number of patients you have and it caps off at a certain number so you can't just get more and more patients.  Fee-for-service offers the worst health care, but it ensures the most people recieve care, it has its advantages and disadvantages.

yup, but it also ties into some of the health care scams that go on around the country.  Like methadone.   Get welfare drug addicts addicted to a prescription only drug that needs to be taken and dispensed daily, and the user can die if they go without.  with every dose paid by the government.  They get you on the stuff knowing you will be on it for YEARS while they milk the gravy train having you come back for 2 minute visits and daily prescriptions.  I witnessed a close relative go through years of it, and learned alot about how messed up it all is.

We have a great health care system, but like everything, it has lots of flaws and ways people can take advantage.  I wouldnt trade it though.  Im not exactly healthy and if i lived 15 minutes south of here i would basically be bankrupt.

Its funny you mention that, I just had to read an article about a drug just like that called oxycodone, its a pain killer too, in my health science class and we had a debate about it...now I can't find the article damn.  I think it was about how it was legal in Canada and illegal in the US and it talked about why it should be illegal here, but I can't remember the reasons now...

oxy's are very close to heroin and on of the most abused medications out there.   It really shouldnt be prescribed by anyone but a hospital.   Its a bit different then methadone though.  Some will even cook up the oxy's to inject.

With methadone they take heroin addicts and give them methadone, and keep giving them more of it until the addict says they dont feel like needing heroin anymore.  They then slowly over a period of YEARS weine the person off.  and very few ever do.  abruptly stopping can also be FAR more deadly then heroin or oxy's.  They seem to operate with the soul goal of making the person not use, rather then actually fixing the person.   When my relative mentioned having a hard time or even the slightest thing, his doctor would try and increase his dosage, while he would argue back with "i thought im supposed to get off thise stuff to live a normal life again"

Methadone is taken as an oral fluid, and has to be taken while witnessed by the pharmacist. They dont let you take any home.  So every morning, your first stop is the methadone line.  The daily dosage for a long time addict can easily kill a normal person.

Which cancer is cured by it?
We can no longer really refer to cancer as one all-encompassing disease...there's too much variety in the different types of cancer now.

But I hope it does some good! As specific genetic cancer therapy (which I feel is the way forward) is miles away yet before it's really effective.
