Will PS4 be the “Go to” system for early multiplat reviews this gen?

Since everyone seems very talkative about metacritic scores today I‘m just curious on what people think about 3rd party reviews this gen.

Now in the PS3/360 gen, if any high profile 3rd party game was to release it was always X360 that got the initial reviews posted on metacritic. The overall score in the end were comparable for the 2 versions (provided we’re not looking at the early years of PS3) but the PS3 version always lagged in number and first reviews. In some cases, the X360 version would have more then triple the amount of reviews posted over the PS3 version. (CoD BO II for example)

With Sony and the PS4 doing very well out of the gate and even leading early on thus far, I wonder if the PS4 version will be one that reviewers post first or more of this gen? Both systems are now out and have had plenty of time for reviewers to post their scores but so far there seems to be more PS4 reviews in the majority of 3rd party games this year. (Exception Madden and Just Dance)

Depends on which one sells best in the US and how much money Microsoft shells out to journalists, or to the publishers providing review copies.

The reviews are because PS4 came out first.

As for the go to system it is looking like a possibility since devs have to learn a little more about the XBO than the PS4 atm. Also what the_dengle said will be taken into consideration by devs and publishers
