Titanfall will probably be bigger, just because it's an FPS MP.

But I'm pretty sure ps4 wills ee a big boost when infamous comes out. At least if sony is keeping up their advertisement.
if it will have legs in the hardware sales is pretty hard to tell, but that also counts for titanfall. Both will be big that's for sure

I don't doubt Infamous' potential to sell units, but I doubt it'll be a system seller.  I don't believe it's ever been a strong PlayStation system seller in the past is why.

Destiny and Titanfall will likely be strong system sellers.

They will sell well that is obvious.

BS, there is no such thing as a system seller it is a BS term, no one game consistently sellls systems you just get a spike for 1-3 weeks.  Libraries, brand sells systems.

No one said consistently.

The general definition of a system seller is a game that inspires a consumer to purchase a console because of or for the game specifically.  A game that is a system seller causes a spike that in console sales that is inconsistent with normal sales trends when the game is released.

For example, if Rockstar releases a Red Dead game in July and console sales increase significantly over and above the normal trend, the game is considered a system seller.

Both consoles will slow down but Titanfall will be a huge Xbox One seller. It being on 360 isn't going to affect anything. Just compare 360 preorders to X1 preorders and you can see that. Regardless I dont see the consoles selling like crazy again till next fall.

for the ps4 you got Drive Club too coming out relatively soon, and dont forget The Order thats quickly becoming a game im anticipating. and my fav sports game MLB The Show is also Sony Exclusive.

The Order is Q3-Q4

I fully expect both consoles to slow down considerably in January. Nothing like the Wii U of course but once the die hard fans/early adopters have their consoles, the next target demographic will be people who wait for a good number of games to justify the purchase of a new console and to convince these customers they'll have to pump out the games.

Signature goes here!

As Sony can't satisfy the demand and MS seems also to have this pretty nice problem
there is no roomfor decline, especially not for a fast one.

Considering that Sony has Drive Club,Infamous,Destiny+Watchdogs
and MS has Watchdogs,Destiny +Titanfall(i excpect a very huge marketing campaign)

Why the hell should people loose interesst????

The ps3 Says hallo.. and so does Wii-U (wii-u was faster than wii at launch)

And remember.. for the absolut most.. (lets say 95% gamers) they had no interest.. for sure it look nice (if they seen it) but it's not somephing they rush out and get.

ps3 was price related +bad games support

Wii U was "no games+bad advertising" related. No games in terms of Nintendo means, nintendo gamers have obviously 0 interesst in 3rd party AAA franchises, they only have interesst in the case a 3rd party game is delayed(rayman).Cod for ps4 sold more on day 1 than than cod, batman,AC,fifa did lifetime on Wii U.Those games are selling well on ps4/xbox1.=Wii U had at release a recycled Mario2d+Nintendoland+ nothing else in the next month gamers were interessted in.ps4/x1 has cod,bf,fifa, madden, forza, killzone, dead rising etc,+watchdogs and destiny to come

The future looks much brighter right now for ps4/x1because the AAA games are wanted and bought on new systems, tons of announced games(1st-3rd party)

Will there be decline? Yes-that's business as usuall +economical crisis, but the decline will be much lower than for wii U.

I expect sales for ps4 to loose 50% and to go slowly down and bottom at 100-120k(as they can only produce 1mio/month=250k week and demand due to hype will remain strong this drop won't be huge.

xbox1 is harder to tell because of the 500dollar price+MS destroyed a lot of xbox' reputation+ the hype level for titanfall and merchandising budget is unknowm right now

Wii U=average 60.000 until release of mario cart, than constantly above 100k

Anyways I want to know if you all think that XBO/PS4 will have a rough time for the first half of next year?  Or do you expect them to stay strong?

Sales can only rise as there will actually be PS4 on shelves + it will launch in Japan. Here in France the system is sold out until February.

Yeah I also believe they can't keep selling 1 million a week and will decline hard to horrible sales like 100k-150k a week.

Both have a lot to offer though also looking to indie games (I really want peggle 2 X_X).

But maybe you should also have waited after 7 december because we probably see some new stuf or get new information that can increase sales for both consoles.
