I do not know why you are throwing off your own thread with a tangent, but okay.

I'm not sure if it is a tangent but you said you wanted to point it out.  The question is why point it out(as if we didn't know)?  And number two why do so after it was already mentioned in the original post?  Just sounds like console war propaganda to me.  And that my friend was an assumption xD

nailed it

As Sony can't satisfy the demand and MS seems also to have this pretty nice problem
there is no roomfor decline, especially not for a fast one.

Considering that Sony has Drive Club,Infamous,Destiny+Watchdogs
and MS has Watchdogs,Destiny +Titanfall(i excpect a very huge marketing campaign)

Why the hell should people loose interesst????

The ps3 Says hallo.. and so does Wii-U (wii-u was faster than wii at launch)

And remember.. for the absolut most.. (lets say 95% gamers) they had no interest.. for sure it look nice (if they seen it) but it's not somephing they rush out and get.

inFamous is one of ps4 most hyped games. So saying it won't change the sales but titanfall will is stupid.

And inFamous will definitely sell more than 1 million

I said this previosly but I believe you read what I said wrong. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5867036

To further explain what I was saying is that I am unsure if InFamous is big enough to push Ps4 throughout the year and there is no way of predicting TitanFall's impact.

Titanfall will probably be bigger, just because it's an FPS MP.

But I'm pretty sure ps4 wills ee a big boost when infamous comes out. At least if sony is keeping up their advertisement.
if it will have legs in the hardware sales is pretty hard to tell, but that also counts for titanfall. Both will be big that's for sure

Both will have a boost obviosly xD  But will they be one week or sustained.  Or do you think most of the people getting InFamous and TF already got PS4/XBO?

Anyways I just want to hear people's opinions on it but i will say I am defintily not sayin one is bigger than the other and I do definitely expect InFamous to be big enough to boost PS4 and to have a high attatch ratio xD

I suspect Watch Dogs and possibly Destiny will be out in Q2 and those will be huge for both the PS4/XB1.

The Jan-March post launch period is generally on the dry side, that's normal for any console.

It is a wider period than that.  Jan - March is the decline.  Typically May-July is the low period.

August is usually the start of the rise toward the holiday season with sales for the annual sports titles starting.  Different companies try different things to ensure they take advantage of the low points, but there isn't a consistent strong selling period outside of the rise and decline before and after the holiday period.

That isn't to say good, solid titles don't sell well outside of the holiday season.  Like you said, Watch Dogs, Destiny and Titanfall will likely generate strong sales in Q2.  I suspect you'll even see a modest rise in console sales.  The only point I'm trying to make is that Q1 represents the decline in holiday sales.  Q2 and Q3 are actually tougher on the industry than Q1 with the abysmal sales typically in the May/June time period.

That was well explained and a much better job than doing it than i did xD

I have this feeling that this will create an interesting problem for console makers/developers.  Q2 becoming a major release period in an effort to keep sales strong because of the staggered release schedule for Gen 8.

Q2 and Q3 seemed like they became a no-mans-land in Gen 7.  Rockstar was the only one that seemed to successfully negotiate it, as well as a few others, but most titles languished or got little attention with their releases.
