Nintendo must've sold Sony some of them money printers.

Didn't Nintendo already find a replacement factory? Like months ago?

Better take... Bloomberg:

Sony Stock dropped over 3% on this news

I think they are more likely to expand existing factories.

Why do gaming sites sensationalise every financial story... they haven't a clue.

Game journalists are barely journalists; I don't expect them to know much about economics.

To big to fail is not just an american monopol.

The bigger the corporations the more basic economic laws can be ignored! As Japan is throwing 65 billion dollars each month at the banks/markets(Abenomics=japanese QE) there is no problem to shift some of this money to corporations like sharp, sony, panasonic.

On the other hand ,compared to the big mega banks and their derivatives(1.2quadrillion dollar+) which are right now x-times bigger than worlds annual Gdp,all coporations are in pretty good shape

This could be good for Nintendo. Much better than it closing.

Japan denied major electronic manufacturers a bailout just this year. http://bit.ly/1bIAyqN

Things that need to die in 2016: Defeatist attitudes of Nintendo fans

I'm not sure what to think about this, don't really think this will effect Nintendo too much, unless Sony get arsey when it comes to further developments of the DRAM chips which I suppose could hinder Nintendo's efforts to reduce the cost of WiiU, but that seems unlikely to me

Personally, I'm just not convinced that this is a particularly wise business move

On a positive note, it might actually help Nintendo if Sony would save the factory from bankruptcy. Nintendo could still buy their components. I doubt Nintendo would mind if they would be buying from a Sony-owned factory, and I doubt Sony would mind taking orders from Nintendo.

The same Japan that has sworn to get rid of nuclear power and after a few month did a 180 and restarted some atomic power plants at their west coast?

One thing is what politicians say, another what they do.The Minister who said that there will be no bailout has to say so,because if he doesn't and says "there will be bail out" the corporations won't even try to do the needed restructering to become compettitive, but as soon as the shit is going to hit the fan(bankrupcy=loss of several 100.000 jobs=lower production ratio, more jobless, massivly rising social costs, increase of poverty)there will be a bailout+restructuring and/or fusion between Panasonic/Sony etc.because in the long run a bail out is a lot cheaper than a bancrupcy.

(go to youtube, search for "Obama lying" and you will find pretty long vids full of his lies, than you'll take this "no bail out" blabla with a grain of salt)
