Forums - Microsoft - Official Xbox One Decision

Dear Xbox Nation posters,

After much debate an anger over Xbox Fitness mislead offerings and potentially thinking of switching to Sony's camp out of pure anger, I have decided to stick with MS and keep my Xbox One for the future. I have been enjoying a lot using kinect and playing Dead Rising 3 as well as Madden 25. I know this post might be irrelevant to most users since this forum is heavily read by PS users but I wanted to make sure people know my loyalty is staying with Microsoft for the foreseable future and that support for Xbox users is not dying!!!

Anyway, can someone give me an idea of whether Ryse is fun or not? I have read plenty of reviews but it seems that players are saying that it's worth playing. The question is, purchase or rental?

Peace out everyone! And enjoy your consoles!

Good on ya mate!

Author of science fiction and other genres, I write under the pen name Desmond Shepherd. The second season of my series The Permanent Man premieres on November 11, 2014. Pre-order the season premiere The Walls Have Ears on Amazon today!

I'd say it's a solid rental.

You're going to the Miami Heat?

Rent Ryse from what I've seen it's a short game and not worth 60, 50 or even 40. Also I'm glad you decided to stick it out with the Xbox One.

I was also quite disappointed with Xbox Fitness. Still plan on using it often but the lack of being able to make a fitness plan and them only having a few videos out of each series is pretty lame IMO (for instance, they have only 2 P90X videos out of the 12 total, and only one from Insanity).

Ryse is not a great game by any means but it is very fun for the most part and has truly stunning visuals. I would say if you want to play it now, rent it from Gamefly or something so you have enough time to play it or if you want to buy it new and can wait a while then buy it sometime next year for $40. I actually recommend getting ACIV because that is the best launch game for the X1 IMO.

Boooo... Should have switched. It's never too late!

Seriously, Xbox Fitness was the worse disappointment so far with my Xbox One. I wish they would at least offer to buy the videos for the console. I don't want the damn discs. Who the hell still uses discs anyway?? Blah!

Thanks everyone! Looks like I'll rent it through Redbox and if I like it I'll buy it.

Buy it in amazon for $49.99. Then stack a 12 months live card on it and take $20 off the game

good for you... can you call the play with Kinect on Madden ????

and I agree with fitness... they should offer the videos for sale on Xbox at least or even a premium subscription for each series maybe... who knows it might change.... because in the current state of things it isn't going to have any appeal within a couple month for most people if not weeks
