Good luck
...and remember your friends who wished you good luck when you make it
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Sony should Hire Balmer, I hear he is going to be out of work!
It is near the end of the end....
I think Turkish has a good shot, just needs to whip up his posting history as a resume!
But seriously, I don't know why they're so.. Uncompetitive in the TV market, other companies offer similar equipment at more competitive prices, and that's what majority of consumers look for, better deals for something that does exactly the same regardless of quality. Black Friday being a prime example.

Sony's tv's, and alot of their other electronics are grossly over priced compared to the competition, it's ridiculous.

Thanks for posting the big article. Seems like it is insurance, movies, to some extend cell phones and video games. Sony electronics, specially the Tv's have been irrelevant for a long time.
A positive step by Sony. After a less than stellar year in films compared to last year and a shot across the bows from 3rd Point Sony are reacting by looking to appoint someone new from a US media back ground and with the continuing fiscal discipline with cuts in the entertainment division and a focus on profitability Sony are reacting in a positive way. They already gave marketing Chief Marc Weinstock the boot after a run of flops at the box office and have said they will focus more on profitable TV and release less films going forward.
A return to making continued profit and a good return for shareholders is obviously the aim. Continued change at Sony as long as it is with goal of making the company profitable again should be viewed as nothing but positive.
Exactly, innovations or what, the prices that they set for their products are ludicrous, at least they have learned from the mistake of grossly overpricing ps3 at launch, however the tvs are 1.5x or in some cases even more compared to their competitors, yeah the quality may be higher but the pricepoint really cannot be justified in the eyes of an average consumer. Those 4k tvs may be new, however I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung or some other firm release similar model for half the price within a year.

@kowenicki's article
Oh right this is from an actually decent journalist.
I wondered why it was making sense and using numerical evidence.
