I know I'll probabaly get gutted for making this thread because there have been a lot of doom and gloom Nintendo threads as of late. But what do you want/expect from Nintendo in 2014? What are your hopes they do in order to increase sales, bring attention to the Wii U, etc.

For me:

1) Release your strong, defining "Nintendo" software like Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Smash, X, Yoshi, etc.

2) No more long delays.

3) No more apologies and no more excuses; take responsibility and own up to it.

4) No more month long droughts. IMO, Wii U needs a healthy stream of games maybe 1 every one and a half month (too unreasonable?). They can't afford to go for months without games.

5) Heavily advertise your games. Apparently Reggie believes consumers now know the difference between Wii and Wii U. http://mynintendonews.com/2013/12/02/nintendo-of-america-consumers-now-understand-difference-between-wii-and-wii-u/

6) Online has to be an issue addressed sooner than later. They're finally beginning to bring out unified account systems, but what about linking Wii U and 3DS virtual console games? Oh yeah... VC...

7) Virtual Console... Enough said.

i expect nintendo to put out games that use the touchpad.  nintendo wont be able to bring in the fps and sports crowd. i hope the rumors of project grand prix s true... they will probaby focus on the nintendo crowd and casuals. hopefully they resurrect some ip and make another metroid.

some touchscreen games that i think they could release or be similar to wario touched (game and wario? i havent played it), Elite beat agents (not a big seller but good), trauma center, lost magic, maybe a minecraft like game simikar to priject spark. what are some others?

I can already tell that that won`t happen

What do I want?

Mostly, for Nintendo to unveil a heap of partnerships with third parties, to fill in the gaps in their exclusive lineup (that is, genres, etc) or to bring titles that have been dormant. An FPS from Activision, perhaps (get Treyarch to work on it, with Nintendo support - could be a new IP). Mega Man from Capcom. Red Steel 3 from Ubisoft (in the style of the first game, not the second). An exclusive Final Fantasy (not Crystal Chronicles) from Square Enix. You get the idea.

Plus, at least one huge surprise in terms of first-party lineup. Perhaps a mainline Pokemon title on console, or a completely new franchise with potential for massive sales, or maybe a Metroid crossover (heh - Assassin's Creed: Chozo Bounty...:P).

Zelda will release in 2015 and Mario Kart delay. EA and Bethesda will continue to ignore the platform.

I want a price drop. More game annoucements.
