babuks said: Good news for Microsoft, but I wonder where does this money come from? Surface tablets flopped, Windows phones doing ok but not gigantic amounts, Windows 8 and Office were not received well by consumers. Did I miss any product? Oh yes, Xbox - which had to hide behind entertainment section to show profit/loss account. |
Office wasnt received well by co simers? when?
Office is a cash cow.
Windows is a cash cow.
Enterprise is an even bigger cash cow. MS is MASSIVE in the enterprise sector and now including cloud and associated repeat income business will only get bigger and bigger.
Stop reading weak and ill thought out knee jerk reactions on sites like this and do some research, MS is more profitable now than it has ever been in its history.

They also seem to be targeting Blackberry's stranghold on enterprise. If that plays out, then the Windows Phone market will not only grow substantially but it will create a revenue stream that will be lucrative for years and years to come.
For me the scariest thing is the next CEO. If s/he is determined to make his/her mark on history instead of helping to cultivate the positive intiatives already in place, then this could be a stock not worth keeping long term. Of course all of this is my opinion ...
