I love playing through remote play but for some reason the Vita constantly disconnects from the PS4 and this is within my own home!
I have the Wifi power settings on the Vita set to off. I have UPnP set to "On" on my router and "QoS" set to "off". I have even done port forwarding for when I am away from home (Have yet to try this yet, although previous attempts at using RP at work have been unsuccessful) and the Vita is connecting on an open channel that my other devices do not use.
Vita is set to channel 6. Does the PS4 need to be on the same channel by any chance?
Anyone have any idea what could be the issue for me? I doubt it is my connection speeds.

connect the ps4 to your router via wire and then the vita to the ps4, the wifi adaptor is what will be sending the info back and forth between the vita and ps4 so you don't want it handling both the ps4s' net connection and streaming video and controls back and forth. Sony said this.

In seperate rooms and at this point I will just deal with it. I am moving into my new house in 2-3 weeks so I will hook up everything proper once I am there.
Who am I kidding? I'll probably fiddle around with it tomorrow.

you should just splash out for a longish network cable, they're fairly cheap really and shouldnt effect your net too much, we had a wired connection running from 1 end of a house to the other here to a seperate router to give wi fi everywhere. But yeah the ps4 wi fi module doing both net for the ps4 and remote play just gets too much for it. Wired net = smooth sailing for the vita.

Oh, no way am I having a wire running along my floors, down the hallways and into the bedroom, lol.
I'll just move the router into the living room.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
