Xbox One already has twice the apps in the uk over PS4. At launch. It has the ability to multi task more programs/apps/games at the same time. Also you say the cable pass through is uselss. I can recieve a Skype call whilst watching Sky 1. Or a game invite wjilst watching Sky Sports F1 HD. Or I can snap in Internet Explorer and order an item whilst watching the advert I saw the item on. I can snap in a game guide whilst lost on a particular level. I can control the volume of my TV, The menu of my TV and even switch the TV on/off when my Xbox switches on and off all with Voice.

The multitasking of PS4 isnt in the same league as Xbox 1. I can stop a game, put in another game and it will leave off exactly where I was 5 days ago. It remebers. I can pin my faveourite apps to my desktop. The PS4 is a good games machine. But its multimedia functions are far less. I can also add channels to the One Guide like specific Netflix watches, Lovefilm, Skydrive photos or videos all in the One guide alongside TV channels. Its a far more cohesive and personalized entertainment experience. And one the PS4 doesnt come close to.

Sorry bud but like you say will have to agree to disagree. In the era of smart technology i.e Phones, Tablets, advanced desktops, handheld consoles (3DS/Vita) which all enable you to custom how your home page looks then going to something that doesn't let you change anything is a step backwards. Especially when you consider you could change things and make it more personal on the PS3. The X1 is just as fast as the PS4 in regards to the interface and I can fully custom it to my liking. I honestly cannot see how you would think having less personalisation from the previous console = good because it moves faster. 

Many apps don;'t even work well with snap and it's something I can do in 1 second os PS4 with a button press. The ps4 browser is 5 times faster then x1.....google it, the x1 browser is slow. Dem facts. They browsers were tested by numerous sites.

You do know we are already using these apps ourselves in snap mode right? They work great.

What good is a browser tester?

I use the browser and the pages all load within 5 seconds. Its as fast  as my pc. So if numbers mean anything, will it make my page load in 1-2 seconds on ps4? The browser design itself is also much better. Alloowing voice controlled internet as well as gesture. I bet I could list 10 websites and visit them all with my voice much faster than a guy on ps4 with his controller. 

You bet wrong, a quick double tap of the button would be infinitely quicker then using voice, and voice is not 100 % accurate, add in the fact PS4 browser is way faster.......

Google PS4 browser faster then x1....lots of sites like ars technia has detailed analysis. x1 browser is very slow.

So while you finish typing the URL Xbox One is already displaying the page. Ok yeah, controller is faster. I also love the way you try and say Kinect doesnt work. LOL. None of us are having problems. We use it  daily. I would never trade an Xbox One for PS4 based on media. No chance. PS4 is behind.

That will be on ps4 as werll so moot point.... MS is missing some things at launch like streaming, So  is sony.. Hardly a big deal, Still doesn't change the fact the UI itself is great, organized, fast. It's gotten praise for a reason. SM is cluttered and yes it is slower, there is lag and snap doesn;t work near as well as advertised, it's a waste of resources that should hae gone towards gaming.

I am talking about the UI not what features each console has....How on earth did you get to that from what I said?? 

I can tell you don't have both. I wonder if you did would you think the same. Because to say it is cluttered is pretty humerous. There is no lag, snap works fine for me. I have had no problems at all. In fact being able to go from playing a game, to watching tv, to listening to music on my phone then back to a game instantly without pressing a single button is simply amazing. So where you say it should of gone towards gaming I disagree. If I am paying £500 + on something I expect it to do more then just one thing. I expect it to be able to do many things just like I do when I buy a tablet, buy a pc, buy a car, buy a mp3 player and so on. 

I appreciate that you love the PS4. So do I, I am playing KZ (as you can see on my GT). But my point is in comparison to other devices (not just the X1) the UI although fast is pretty boring and non customable. Having 2 rows of tiles and the rest just blue screen seems a waste. Now obviously you don't agree with me, fair enough. But while both consoles have good and bad things about them if we are comparing the UI's and only that there is no comparison. The X1 wins that vs with complete ease.
