Forums - Gaming - Twitch Bans Playroom on PS4, LOL!

People are still using the Playroom to stream. I saw a couple of streams on Friday.

Does Sony or Twitch require real life identification to livestream non-game footage?

I feel like making that a requirement for that ability could significantly lower violations, although I have no idea how costly that'll be.

It was inevitable. Unless you moderate all the streams, you can't stop people from doing lewd stuff.

or breaking copyright issues left and right.

Technically Twitch breaks copyright laws 24/7

On the other hand US copyright laws are stupid and shouldn't cover someone streaming a game they are playing.

MAn lots of dummies in the world.

Can you still stream other games and stuff? if yes what is so different about playroom?

The playroom allows you to use the Eye Camera.  So you could do some chat roulette kind of shit.

There are still plenty of playroom streams. Last night there were plenty game unrelated ones, mainly drunk people swearing a lot. Seems like they get banned as soon as someone pulls out a breast.

I wonder how long it will take until someone figures out how to take the thing mobile via 3G connection. Max stream quality is 1.5mbps, should work fine on mobile phone.
