Are people like, turning this into a TLoU vs SM3DW thread now? I don't even know how since they are drastically different games lol. I honestly like the new Mario more than The Last of Us though, but that's a personal preference. I have proof that I've played both too!

But really, the new Mario is just really really charming.

God dammit, are those streams in 60fps ?

That looks incredibly smooth !

Friday can´t come soon enough.

Yep, been streaming 60FPS for awhile actually lol.

That awkward moment when you're a Sony fan AND a Nintendo fan

(though I'm sure a lot of people will be like "no u aren't! ur either 1 or the other u cant like both")

I don't owe myself an apology, that's for sure

I don´t think many would say that, many people on this site are mostly fans of Sony and Nintendo.

With a few haters on both sides more on one side than on the other though

You compare just another Mario game to The Fucking Last of Us??? No, I don't accept your apologies!

I still haven't completed Last of Us so I don't know why people think it is good or has good story. I just know it has frustrating gameplay mechanics and poor frame rates.

Super Mario 3D World is the best Mario game you can play with your family to date. That is worth a lot more than TLOU which even veteran gamers can't complete because it really doesn't live up to the hype.

Sorry but this is laughable. I've logged about 30+ hours into The Last of Us (playing survival difficulty now) and I must ask you, what "poor frame rates"? I encountered this issue one time and I was pushing the game pretty hard (I ran max speed through a rather large level with no detours). This issue lasted all of five seconds. Maybe you should have your system checked out because it sounds like you're the one with this issue, not the game itself.

Also, I love your ridiculous claim that "even veteran gamers can't complete because it really doesn't live up to the hype". This statement is downright assinine for many reasons. What veteran gamers are we talking about? Is there anything exceptional about the number of "veteran gamers" failing to complete it? In what way has The Last of Us failed to live up to the hype? How can you support such a claim? The only thing I can think of is the unusally high Metacritic user score which actually contradicts what you're saying.

Honest question here, did you even play The Last of Us? I'm absolutely loving the game despite its issues (none of which you have mentioned). Why not fault the game for its somewhat problematic artificial intelligence? On three occasions I have encountered breakdowns in the pathfinding which resulted in a runner, bloater and Bill walking into walls endlessly (Halo 2 style). The AI routines are also predictable and exploitable (like in Resident Evil 4), especially regarding the sub-par path finding. Other than that my only complaint is that the Uncharted style damage system was never any good and it is particularly detremental to this title. If I shoot a man in the face with a 12-gauge shotgun from twenty feet (even with a fully open choke),  I expect to practically decapitation them, not inflict a small amount of damage / irritate.

As far as putting 30+ hours into a game that doesn't make the game special, i have more than 35 hours on The Wonderful 101 and i still didn't play more than one mission of hard mode, though i never felt any framerate issues during my 30 minute play of it at a store

It was a great game so it lived up to the hype (for the most part) in my opinion

bet with ash3336 he wins if Super Mario 3D World sells less than Mario Sunshine during the first three years, I win if 3D World outsells Sunshine's first 3 years. Loser get sig controlled for 3 months (punishment might change)

Do you doubt the WiiU? Do you believe that it won't match the GC?

Then come and accept this bet

Nintendo eShop USA sales ranking 2/12/2013 : http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=173615

Just for clarity, before I go to work, for those that aren't feeling the intent of the thread--

When The Last of Us released early this year, the number of threads made on it was ridiculous. I remember on comment in particular where somebody finally got fed up and said, "Okay. We get it! The Last of Us is a great game and there needs to be a thread about it every 15 minutes or people will die" or something like that. So much praise was being thrown around, it was ridiculous.

I love Super Mario 3D World so much that , when I'm not playing it, I want to talk about it. Then, it dawned on me that we were doing the same thing that The Last of Us fans were doing. We loved a game and we wanted to talk about it. So, I figured I'd genuinely apologize...but, since I am who I am, I wanted to be an asshole about calling people assholes. Bam! New thread.

See you guys tomorrow!

The only games i have seen that make me want to buy a console aresuper mario 3d word and killer instict

My statement that I have played The Last of Us for over 30 hours had nothing to do with it being special. I was showing the severity of the Halo 2 style AI breakdowns (about one incident every ten hours). That should have been obvious. That being said, the time I have spent playing The Last of Us is actually somewhat out of the ordinary (other than the fact that I rarely play any game that much these days). You see, I don't own a PS3 so I have to go out a bit out of my way to play it at all.
