If someone here is critizing this game after not playing it, and don't respect the opinion of someone that it did, he/she just need to go somewhere else. It's Selnor's opinion and he liked it, that's all. Ryse is becoming the type of game that is funny to bullshit, by a lot of people that not even try to play it. I hate that kind of habit. Ryse seems to be a polarizing game, some will love it for what it is, and other will hate for what is not.

I felt the same with a game like FF XIII. Both were technically and visually spectacular, with a focus on its gameplay mechanics, but both suffered or repetetiveness and lack of content. For me FF XIII was a great experience, somewhere between 8'5-9, for others was an abomination. If Selnor is in the same situation i can understand him very well.

I watch a video of the first 30 min, so my opinion is just an opinion and very incomplete, and for me it looked spectacular and it felt repetitive after 15 mins, but that's all. I don't know if i will like the complete game, but i'm sure i will glady try it.

You sound like one of those typical anthropolgy students I disdain so much.

Some people's opinions are plainly not worth hearing. At all. Selnor said this is better than TLOU and Uncharted 2. This is bordering on insanity. If Ryse was on PS4 then what would Selnor have said?

"Ryse seems to be a polarizing game"

You think that *might* have something to do with it being an exclusive launch game with the best graphics for its system?

" felt the same with a game like FF XIII. Both were technically and visually spectacular, with a focus on its gameplay mechanics, but both suffered or repetetiveness and lack of content. For me FF XIII was a great experience"

I got 12 hours into the campaign by holding forward and pressing X. (A on Xbox). It was the most linear, boring game I played on PS3. The visuals were fantastic, but it is embarrassingly weak compared to previous FF games. That's why it sucks. It went WAY backward.

Selnor is entitled to his opinion on the game. There is nothing wrong with that.

However due to his extreme bias to favour MS and XBox I do not think anyone that knows him will take him seriously.

If kept within reason why not to laugh at this. He is an adult.

to all the people picking on other people who are giving opinions even without having played Ryse:

You have to play Barbie's Quest for Ken in Swagland, Powerpuffgirls vs The Pink Evil, and Teletubies Magic Baby Party.

And don't you dare saying those games suck and you don't like it before playing it, don't you dare.

THANK YOU

Two of my co-workers picked this game up, and they say its a lot better than reviews give it credit for. Its not the second coming or anything, but a competent Story driven action game none the less.

Sounds about 8.5 range, which is good.

This is what all the people who have played the game are saying but the people who have not played the game are the ones who are telling you thats the game is not good. LMAO

Guy at my job who got an XBone also got Ryse and says he loves it.

Despite the scores it seems quite a few actually find it very entertaining.

People have really been enjoying knack too but i dont think anyone here would give it cclose to an 8.8

this is a thread concerning Ryse, not Knack.

Ryse reminds me of Knack, both received poor overall meteoritic scores but are enjoyed tremendously by gamers. I haven't played Ryse but a few of my friends who own XboxOne have enjoyed it and I've played Knack and I enjoyed it tremendously and swayed some of my friends to give it a shot and they love the game.

Maybe we're just burned out from all the FPS releases we've seen recently but it was a breath of fresh air to play a "plat former" for once.

put that game on PS4 only and that score would be slashed by half lol

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
