So what could have been a great feature looks like it's just unearthing the worst kind of internet morons. Sony/ Twitch really need to find a way to manage this whole situation a lot better if they don't want a massive consumer backlash from parents.

Surely you can see how photos like the one I posted would put a lot of parents off buying a PS4. If a mainstream news outlet picked up on it I can see it being a bit of a PR nightmare. You don't want your product associated with paedophiles, fairly or unfairly.

This is why PSN and XBL accounts need to be more strict. Children should not be able to fake an account. A verification system should be in place that makes it so anyone under 18 must be on a sub account that is monitored by parents.

All of the companies have done a great job with parental control, but they have to make sure there are no loop holes that kids can jump though. Sure kids have plenty of ways of getting access to stuff they should not see, but consoles are an easy target for extremist groups and dumb parents that believe their is a problem that is not their own fault.

Twitch has been pretty good with banning though. You cant really watch a playroom stream thats non game related for too long before it gets banned. Its kinda funny though. And so far everybody ive seen abusing the game is well aware of what they are doing.

Its weird..twitch has been around for quite a long time...and PC gamers can do MUCH worse things yet they dont. This says quite a lot about the PS4 demographic
