(Before you read this, I don't usually talk about games with my friends, because... well, just keep reading if you want to know)

...*sigh*... I can't stand this "HaRdKOrzz" gamers... Seriously, I can't talk with my friends about gaming.

So, this afternoon, for some stupid reason, I decided to talk with my friends about gaming and, who would have thought? FIFA  and CoD are their time wasters. I don't remember what was the topic, but I said: "At least I don't buy CoD every year because my friends do, I got BLOPS2 because I wanted it" and somehow it got to FIFA... Oh my fucking god, just shut up... Look, I like FIFA, but I don't buy it because if you get the Demo you pretty much get the whole experience, but let me continue. Friend: "FIFA is different every  time, the passes are better, the other players (AKA "AI") move more and are smarter, and most importantly they update every team" Me: "They could just do that through updates, or making the game online-only but waaaaaay cheaper" Friend: "Yeah, like that would work... Besides, you bought every Pokemon, and that's even kiddy" (He probably thought he got me) Me: "I'm just as guilty as you are, and like I said before, I buy stuff because I like it not because I need other people acceptance in what I do" And he shuts up. What happened? Well, I've come to the conclusion that teens think everything they do is correct, and that they're egocentric narcisists and fucking assholes my best friends and I shouldn't talk to them about gaming like... ever.

TL; DR

Teens think they're never wrong and can't accept others opinions/thoughts.

Interestingly, I have an oral test tomorow about teen's intelectual development, actions and mind...

Who needs friends anyways.

Yeah I found that out a while ago too when my friends tried getting me to buy Cod MW3. It did not end well.

I am able to speak freely about my game choices with my friends, but i have seen someone with former tastes like mine turn into an FPS consumer this latest gen. Yes, including CoD. But he also buys different stuff so i dont go at him too fiercely. :P

I buy what i want. I am a bit weird in wich i dont care what society thinks. Though i have been dialing back on my japanese gaming tastes cause... well... lets be honest, they have been mostly bad this gen.

I am lucky as one of my good friends actually works on small PC games doing modeling and design. He has great insights about the mechanics of games. He tends to favor PC as his field of familiarity. We discussed "The Stanley Parable" recently and how to create choice in games using the tools at your disposal by challenging gamer expectations.

I honestly only have one friend who plays CoD and he is not really into it, much more an MMO guy.

With my real life friends? Once in a blue moon.

On the internet? Surprisingly far more often.
