Ive seen Captain America 2 & X-Men 3D, so far (both in 3-D IMAX). I look forward to Guardians of the Galaxy.

It match my expectations, but there was a number of factors:

Comic book movie.

Got push back in release date + way more marketing & branding & advertising was added to being done for the film, all due to how it did in pre-screenings.
