Yes, in Euro, the 60GB has software emulation, so they never truly had a hardware EE built-in.

80GB has partial BC I will recommend it if it had the about 90% the 60GB had but not being able to play HALF of your games you can't say it's BC as these people might buy themselves a 80GB PS3 and not be able to play their games, I do recommend the 60GB, people jumped on 360 as not being BC when it launched and had about the same % of games being able to be played. I do tell my customers it plays about half but I tell them to go get a 60GB or buy a 360, sorry if you guys want to attack people for a mistake in a post, I got more important things to do then always double check my posts when I have people I gotta call. Anyway since when did jumping on me stay to the topic?

The 80GB doesn't have 50% BC , It is more like 80%

 Yes, with 40GB version came in Oct of last year.
