Forums - Microsoft - Xbox Fitness = Complete disappointment

If you want gaming and exercise buy a Wii U, Wii U Fit just came out on the eShop, otherwise get a PS4 or PC.

"Did you watch the IGN video? The amount of content that's available to people is HUGE!"

let's get real - who buys a $500 gaming machine just for xbox fitness? If you really want fitness then get the DVD for Insanity or join a gym. The fitness was thrown in as a bonus free 1 year feature and there are lots of programs in there but I don't recall they ever said you would get the entire program. They probably will once it is no longer free and a subscription base. X1 is first and foremost a gaming console. The kinect/voice/fitness/skype/TV stuff is the secondary stuff.

I'd just get the actual Insanity stuff or P90X then not worry about it if the content right now is not up to par and use the rest on a Wii U since it'll save you even more money from not having to sub to Gold or PS+ to play online.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but in general I would recommend doing more research and being more patient before a major purchase like this. Reviews of Xbox Fitness could've told you all of this so you weren't so caught off guard.

As for taking it back and getting a PS4, I don't see how that's going to satisfy your exercise thirst either. If you're not getting these consoles for the games first, maybe that money would be spent best elsewhere. Just a suggestion.

I'm more upset actually. None of the reviews I read about Xbox Fitness talked about the limited programs. All I heard through MS's presentations was that Xbox Fitness would come with "enough videos that if you did each one each day it would take you the whole year to finish them." That to me sounded like they were gonna have t he full programs. I'm not really gonna buy a PS4 right now, I think that was out of disappointment. But I am seriously considering buying a PS3 on Black Friday, return the One, and purchase maybe Asylum. We'll see. I'm going to keep the Xbox this weekend, play with it, and see if I change my mind.

If you specifically want Asylum you should probably do that, as I'm guessing the reason they don't include it (or T25) is that it needs extra equipment. If you are ok with Insanity though I'm betting they will add the rest in time. They are probably busy adding the Kinect to each one.

I thought those two videos changed every week or something like that.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!
