Yeah they should have but from the released games they are pratically even so that's why they were pretty much saying ti was best to wait.

But I have to ask though are you coming from a PS3 or a 360? Or did you have both? I had a 360 but ended up selling it to a friend because they like stopped releasing exclusive games on it....it got frustrating for me. I loved Gears(1 more than 2 or 3) and Lost ODdessy and Fable before they RUINED the series. Liked Ninja Blade, Crackdown 1 and even Blue Dragon!

The first few years 360 was on point then the drought hit and it killed me interest in the system. So I am hoping with the XB1 they suppor it better and longer than they did with the 360! And from teh looks of Titanfall and QB they are off to a good start!

If that were true then I would do that without a doubt but a MAJORITY of the BETTER games that I prefer won't be on PC sadly.....

Buy a PS4 if you're into first-party exclusives, single-player games, JRPGS, etc.

Buy an XB1 if you don't play many games except for multiplayer, sports games, and you want a device that does more than games like cable tv, etc.

It's pretty simple, I want a gaming machine so I bought a PS4.

Buy both if you can afford.

For serious gaming you can have PS4
For gaming and complete entertainment for the whole family, Xbox1

But the games are almost identical at this point, that's why no reviewer is really focusing on them.  If you are you are purchasing a console for a future game then I think that would make more sense.

They will both be great consoles. My honest simple answer. Sony exclusives always dominate Xbox exclusives which IMO is the most important decision. I own a PS4 now but may get an XB1 down the line...Especially if it gets some kind of crazy "Trials" exclusive. Also if I didn't already have a smart TV, media server, and a DVR, I personally would be very interested in what XB1 has to offer regarding integration, but as it stands I don't need it. It appears cool though especially if you don't have a smart TV or DVR already.
