With a PS4 from the moment you put the disk in sit down and pick up the controller, you just got time to snap your fingers before the game begins. :)

That's horrible! I was used to doing other stuff during that time!

I know, I am not sure if I am going to be able to cope with it being so fast, no more being able to have a drink a bite to eat, surf the net, check some messages etc Sony wants you to play games and they going to make sure you waste as little time as possible doing anything else. lol

Killzone already has me feeling spoiled.

First time I inserted the disc it booted up, then another 5-10 seconds and I was at the main menu screen.

I miss the days of waiting 20 minutes before I could play Devil May Cry or the long waits between chapters in Metal Gear Solid 4.

I miss the days of the PS2 where you could just play the game without even having to think about these things

1:30 vs. 5:30 is huge. There is nothing more annoying than starting up a new game, all excited and having to install the game, later download and install the patch... It seems when patches come you'll be able to finish your first match in FIFA on PS4 while the XO gamers are still gonna sit waiting for the game to install. Sony can do no wrong, while MS seems like it never truely cared about the console or rushed it like hell.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Big installations, the time when consoles really have become PC's.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Agreed console gaming used to be so simple. No day one patches, no massive installs. Just put the disc in and that's it.

That's why I consider Wii to be the last true console.

I played Resogun while killzone installed. No idea how long it took because I was doing resogun for hours.

Wish the op had more data though, because right now drawing a conclusion would be premature.

I was to busy surfing the internet in snap mode to realise. LOL.

Felt like 30 seconds to me on Xbox One

Your feelins are off most of the time. No surprise.

Ease up pal. Youve done nothing but be negative about Xbox One all week. Thread after thread.

Got one yesterday, and its the 2nd best console launch behind N64 that Ive ever had. It works flawlessly and the best thing I bought all year.

So pleased with its featureset. TV through the Xbox One is wierd, but oh so good. I wonder how I can live without that now. No invites, Skype Calls etc whilst using TV just seems ice age now.

See, I just don't understand that part. My iphone sits next to me as I'm watching tv. I get game invites on my PSN and Xbox apps, and Skype/FaceTime through my phone and Skype app. That's the problem I see with Xbox One. Yes, it's all neat stuff, but, do people really need it enough to buy a $500.00 console? I think it's a hard sell in the smart phone age we are in because like me, their device stays glued to their side.
