No, an 'Ultimate edition" would include the camera as well.

That said, this is a fantastic idea. I love that they had the brains to offer just the system at 400 bucks, and let the GAMERS decide if they wanted the camera or Vita added features.

also, why are more people not loving the Remote Play option? between Remote play, the PS camera, and cross buy/cross save, it kinda really IS the ultimate system. On its own it's a great gaming and media device; with the camera it emulates the Xbox One (on a lesser scale, but an equally lesser price); with the Vita it emulates the WiiU.

I mean, its camera and Vita functions don't quite live up to their other console counterparts, but the fact that the PS4 is stronger than either competitor, the camera is cheaper and an OPTION, and the Vita doubles as a portable handheld device, not just a second screen, is awesome. yeah, it's expensive but it's all optional!

imo paying eg. 500 for a PS4 + Vita is a lot better than 400+ 60 for a second controller.
For 40 dollar more you will get a handheld that also can be used as 2nd controller+ a lot of games for free with ps+.
The number of three games doubles if you also have the vita.

Combined with a cam for 50 dollar you will get a console+handheld+cam+1month free games with ps+ for 550 while you get only an xbox 1 with cam for 500.
Huge advantage if you buy the sony system.

Are you serious here ? With Sony's E3 decisions, this bundle is the biggest twist of the hardware war between Sony and Microsoft.

With this move, the Xbox is as good as dead. Who would be dumb enough to take the Xbox One, if for the same price you could have PS4 + PSVITA instead ? You think gamers and parents buy things blindly ? Even a 7 years old child could see what's the better deal between this bundle and a Xbox One.

I already have a catch phrase for it "Get two console for the price of One".
