they know exactly that most people just take a look at the score = this has the biggest influence on the consumer.
Therefore it is inevitable that their scores are almost alwaye contradicting their impression and almost always the same company is suffering from this .
Wow, wonder what score they would have given the games if they had actually liked them? Same goes for the xbox by the looks of things. Strange people!

I didn't think Edge had a reputation for being bad journalists, I just thought they were known for being super tough on games. I could be wrong, game "journalism" is not the greatest.
I'm seeing lots of people (mostly with Sony content in their signature or avatar) bash Polygon, but very little example of what's so bad about this website. I can't watch the video on my iPad, so I have to ask...what exactly is the problem here? The five they gave Killzone? I just looked over their website, skimmed their Xbox One review (read the bit about Kinect and saw how they pointed out in detail the issues of the Kinect functionality), looked at their software review scores...I'm not seeing anything unusual. Yeah, they gave Killzone a 5, but that's not exactly a game that's been scoring well with the media in general. They've also rated plenty of Xbox titles poorly or below what I've seen them reviewed elsewhere, including Ryse, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, and Lococycle. In fact, the only really glowing, very positive Xbox One review they have is for Forza 5...and Vita's Tearaway scored better then that.
So, I'm not really seeing the issue here. What have they done that I've missed and I haven't seen anyone else report on?
