Forums - Sports Discussion - The OFFICIAL 2014 NBA Thread! December 22 update: BACK BY REQUEST

Man, Nene cost the Wizz game 3 and now he'll miss game 4 as well :/ Feel like NBA really wants to make this a long series instead of what it looked like recently.
Decisions like this one are just ridiculous. I mean, you Americans dare laugh at football players, when in comparison to this football is so much more physical, violent and manly. NBA is turning this sport into a sport for sissies. They do stupid shit like this and still wonder how it is that NBA has its peak years long gone and is inferior to the 90s. Such a shame.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

That is today's NBA. It is a softer league and it makes sense that he was suspended. It sucks but Nene overreacted big time.

I know, but this is just ridiculous. They should fire this whole Adam Silver guy and replace him with Isiah Thomas - he would turn NBA into a real sport and not a wimpy flopfest that it has turned into. Though we all know it's not gonna happen, the guy is a Jewish lawyer, which renders him pretty much untouchable in America :P

*To keep in mood with the recent events around the league ;)

He was chosen as Commissioner because he pretty much hand groomed by David Stern for 20 years. The league has gotten soft but it is also more popular than ever. Back in the 80s and 90s fouling was considered a strategy and at times the game could be unplayable. Although they have watered down the league to much I do agree they needed to be much stricter. Especially with a lot of people believing the NBA players having a thug mentality more than a decade ago.

Go Mavs and I hope the Clippers don't implode because of their racists owner.

I doubt it. They're playing for themselves and their fans. I don't think they honestly give a fuck about their owner. If they win the championship though and Sterling is still their owner... that championship parade is going to be extremely awkward.

The trophy presentation would be even more awkward.  Anyway I like the Clippers and Mavs in the west but I think the Heat will probably threepeat since they are going to have a pretty easy time getting to the finals.

Yeah I picked the Thunder before the season but they're just not playing well right now. Clippers are probably the only team that can beat the Heat in the Finals simply because they're so frontloaded. As for the Heat I still think that Brooklyn can tire them out and give them a challenging series, even if this first series is pretty much a bye. The playoffs this year is more unpredictable than it has been for a long time.

The Thunder probably need a new coach before they can be real contenders and they also need some inside presence Kendrick Perkins is a joke.

They need a lot of things to be quite honest. Scott Brooks is a good coach but he's too loyal to his players. Russell Westbrook shouldn't be taking as many shots as he is either. For them it's the NBA Finals or bust. Especially with how well KD has played this season.

I blame the Pistons and the Pacers for the Rumble at the Palace that created this softer league.

And oh man... that Vinsanity 3. lol!

That one had to sting XD

The Wizards didn't need Nene after all I also like them in the next round regardless of who wins between the Hawks and the Pacers. It doesn't look good for the Clippers. I can't wait for tomorrows Mavs vs Spurs game.
