Hope you guys are happy. Everything Ninja Theory made was great and yet nobody wanted to give them a shot. They were one of the few companies trying to keep things fresh and unique.  Nintendo should buy them.  They make beautiful games and they have a track record of quality, if not sales.

Aren't you the same guy who just ranted about Heavenly Sword in the Ryse thread?

That was attaboy.

wow, didnt expect a developer like ninja theory to go mobile but i understand their situation

question was it therir idea to play a younger dante or was it Capcom?

I feel that next gen will be filled of sad and frustrating news like this one.

Did'nt play DMC, did'nt particulary like Heavenly Sword but It was'nt a bad game, just mediocre imo. But what's saddens me the most it's that it's a hint that many will follow.

He was more of a man than you ever will be

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

from AAA to mobile?

noone gives a shit about ninja theory in mobile gaming.
to become the millionst mobile developer hoping to become one of the 10 successful that can run a huge development Team?

It seems that AAA still works as long as you don't destroy a brand like DMC turning a cool, ironic guy like dante into an emo sociopath.

Sigh. There are better off disbanded then seeing them stoop down to that level.

in the original article he is also praising steam because it's all digital. not sure if he doesn't know but next gen consoles are also all digital if you want to and steam isn't only digital, i can very well buy a pc game which has to be played on steam at retail like i did with bioshock infinite.

there is no forced retail version next gen and since every game will be on the same marketplace there is also no logic if he believes that a digital only game on console is not the same as on steam.

he can think about mobile what he wants and maybe they have to do it with those crazy costs for console productions but his comparison with steam didn't sound very logical to me. and i like steam a lot.

Well, at the very least, this means that DmC2 won't happen.

Woo hoo.

Why don't they simply make AAA-indie games for consoles? Make them digital, instead of abandoning the console market all together. Just shift focus a bit. Being a indie dev grants you freedom AND you can even set your own prices on Steam and the eShop. THAT'S where you need to go.

i was going to suggest that too.  i mean, they can do mobile as well but a psn/xbl/wiiware/steam release would be good for them too.
