Forums - General - Cannot change youtube resolution in Chrome.

When I change the resolution for a youtube video it goes black and the resolution says 240p. When I use auto HD and resize extension the video will sometimes not play and I will have to reload the page until it does start. I do not have this problem on some of the videos I uploaded. What could be causing this?

Clear Cache, history and stuff, and cookies and try again. If doesnt work update chrome, if updated then delete and reinstall chrome.

I have this issue sometime when accessing YouTube and the internet was slow causing it to kick down to 240p and just crashing when I tried to put it in 720p.  All I can think of for you.

Don't use "auto" at all. Hard set it to 720p or 1080p etc.

If that is not root cause, then follow suggestion above me. (fireburn)
