Wii U had a launch Sunspider score of 2580, or about 10% slower than X1. What it is now, idk.

Not sure about Kracken, but I found SunSpider numbers for the Wii U, 2721 ms, so both the Xbox One and the PS4 are faster than the Wii U, though the Xbox One isn't much faster. The Xbox One's result is about twice as fast as the 360's result as well, and like I said before, the 360 browser is faster than browsing on my older (2007) PC, so I'll probably grab a wireless keyboard and mouse and use my Xbox One to broswe the web from now on.

Well, to be honest, that really is my opinion. I think I've used the browser on my PS3 exactly once and it would likely be the same story if I had a PS4 or an XO. My Vita, of course, is a different story.

However, I certainly don't speak for all Sony fans, even if I am flattered that the guy you quoted might think so.

I did not realize he was talking about the browser...doh. That's what he gets for using "internet" for internet browser.

@ OP

I was pleasantly surprised how fast the PS4 browser is, especially compared to the PS3's browser, which I use all the time for movie viewing. Unfortunately, it doesn't support as many formats as the PS3. However, considering those were added later for the PS3, I'm sure they will do the same for the PS4.
